Aluminium Circle Sheets 1050 for Cookware
As known to all, the aluminium circle sheet covers a surprisingly wide application. Cookware and lighting serve as two most popular of its usage areas. Owing to the fact that aluminium circles will usually go through processes of spinning or deep drawing before becoming end products, their hardness must be within a certain degree, or else it would be difficult to carry out such processes. Therefore, the most frequently adopted alloys are 1xxx and 3xxx. The former is applied in products requiring little about strength and corrosion resistance, while the latter is for harder products of higher corrosion resistance. Aluminium circle sheets for cookware can be of both series.
Aluminium circle 1050 is a common alloy of aluminium circle for cookware. As a member of industrial pure aluminum, 1050 has good workability and excellent conductivity. Its heat conductivity is 237w per minute, six times of iron and four thirds of copper. It has an aluminum content of 99.5%. Aluminum reacts to oxygen in the air and then a thin dense layer of aluminium oxide comes into being, functioning as a protective film of cookware. But as other 1xxx aluminum alloys, 1050 aluminum circle has poor strength, which decides that it can only be made into cookware requiring little about strength. The advantage is that it has good tensile strength, so the cookware does not break easily. It can be made into many kinds of cookware, including pots, basins, strainers, spoons, ladles and even shovels.
