Aluminum sheet metal thickness

　　An aluminum sheet metal thickness refers to the thickness of an aluminium sheet, a flat square (or rectangle) piece of aluminum material with a thickness of between 0.2mm and 500mm, a width of 200mm (some are even 50mm and above) and more, and a length of 16m or less.
　　The aluminum sheet metal thickness can be divided into four categories:
　　Thin sheets (mm): 0.15-2.0
　　Regular sheets (mm): 2.0-6.0
　　Medium-thick sheets (mm): 6.0-25.0
　　Thick sheets (mm): 25-200
　　Super thick sheets (mm): 200 and above.

　　Theoretically all aluminum sheet metals can be made into the five thickness ranges above, but some are usually made into thin sheets and others thicker sheets. For example, 1000 series like 1050, 1060 and 1070 are usually thin or regular sheets, while 6061 and 7075 aluminium are usually thicker sheets.
　　In addition, we need to learn something about aluminum sheet thickness error. The allowable deviation of aluminum sheet thickness is clearly defined in the Chinese national standard GB/T3880.3-2006 "General industrial aluminum and aluminum alloy sheets, strips Part 3: Dimensional deviation" as below.
　　1. When the width of the aluminum sheet is less than or equal to 1000 mm
　　The allowable error of the thickness of the A-type aluminum plate is plus or minus 0.14 mm, and the allowable error of the thickness of the B-type aluminum plate is plus or minus 0.15 mm.
　　2. When the width of the aluminum plate is greater than 1000 mm and less than 1600 mm
　　The allowable error of the thickness of the A-type aluminum plate is plus or minus 0.17 mm, and the allowable error of the thickness of the B-type aluminum plate is plus or minus 0.18 mm.
　　3. When the width of the aluminum plate is greater than 1600 mm and less than 2000 mm
　　The allowable error of the thickness of the A-type aluminum plate is plus or minus 0.22 mm, and the allowable error of the thickness of the B-type aluminum plate is plus or minus 0.23 mm.
　　4. When the width of the aluminum plate is greater than 2000 mm and less than 2500 mm
　　The allowable error of the thickness of the A-type aluminum plate is plus or minus 0.19 mm, and the allowable error of the thickness of the B-type aluminum plate is plus or minus 0.19 mm.
　　5, when the width of the aluminum plate is greater than 2500 mm
　　All types of aluminum plate thickness tolerances are plus or minus 0.19 mm. Look how thick, generally thin plate is plus or minus 0.02mm, thick plate is generally: plus or minus 0.05.
