How to calculate the price of aluminum sheet stock

How should aluminum sheet stock products of different thicknesses and alloys be priced? The calculation of aluminum plate prices can be divided into the following basic steps:

1. First confirm the volume of the purchased aluminum plate, that is, to understand the specific data such as thickness, width, and length in detail. The calculation is based on meters.
2. Calculate the volume of an aluminum plate, that is, length * thickness * width , and then has the volume multiplied by  2.71 (aluminum density ). The result is the weight of the aluminum plate (tons), and then multiply the reuslt by the number of aluminum plates, like 300 or 500, and finally you get the total weight of this batch of aluminum plates.
3. The price of aluminum ingot on that day, plus the processing cost of the product by the manufacturer, is the accurate price per ton of aluminum plate of this model.
4. Multiply the tonnage of the required product by the aluminum plate price per ton to obtain an accurate quote for the product.
We take 500 sheets of 8mm thick, 60mm wide, and 1200mm long aluminum plates as an example. We can first calculate the weight of the product: 0.08 * 0.6 * 1.2 * 2.71 ** 500 = 7.8 tons.
If the price of the aluminum ingot on the day is 12,000, and the processing fee of the aluminum plate manufacturer is 5000 per ton, then the price quoted by the aluminum plate manufacturer is (12000 + 5000) * 7.8 = 117000 = 13.26 million.
