Embossed Aluminum Sheets used for Anti-skid Stairs

Embossed aluminum sheets are used for anti-skid stairs because of their excellent slip-proof performance, good decorative effect and long service life. Not all embossed aluminum sheets are suitable as anti-skidding materials. Anti-slip sheets should be able to create strong frictional force. Therefore, their patterns must be rough enough. Generally sheets with patterns of diamond, one bar and five bars are usually used for slip resisting. The distance among the patterns should be big enough to create enough frictional force while being trodden on. Five-bar alu sheets prove to be stronger than those of other patterns, because the arrangement ways of the patterns help to improve hardness of the whole sheet.

Alloys suitable for embossed aluminum sheets include 1xxx, 3xxx, 5xxx and 6xxx. 1xxx alu sheets have the most content of Al the lowest hardness. They are also known as pure industrial aluminum. The Corrosion resistance of the four types become stronger successively. Both 3xxx and 5xxx are referred to as anti-rust aluminum alloys, but the former can not compete with the latter in that respect. Similarly, 5xxx is harder than 3xxx. 6xxx combines the features of 4xxx and 5xxx aluminum sheets, because it contains both Si and Mg. It has light weight, high tensile strength, excellent corrosion resistance and good wearing resistance. Therefore, 6061, 6063 and 6082 embossed sheets have better performance than the other three types. Needless to say, its price is the highest. With regular patterns, anti-skid sheets serve as an excellent decorative material for stair steps. It adds a sense of vigor and beauty to the steps, making one feel happier while treading on them. In addition, embossed aluminium sheets have even longer service life than smooth sheets because they are much more wearing resistance. Because of the same reason, they also serve as a protector of stair steps.
