Reflective Aluminum Mirror Sheet Coating Materials

In China aluminum industry there are generally three types of coating materials for reflective aluminum mirror sheet: LG high brightness film, imported quality film or domestic film of the same quality and common domestic film.

LG high brightness film ranks the first in quality among the three. Its surface is clear, bright, changeably colorful and long lasting in color. With colorful designs it feels very comfortable. The film has the best properties of environmental friendliness, moisture resistance, corrosion resistance and fire resistance. It’s light and easy to clean. Correspondingly, its price is highest. The service life can be as long as thirty years. Secondary films include domestic pearl brightness film, imported quality film, LG pear brightness film etc., the properties and service life of which get stronger successively. The inferior type is common domestic film. Its thickness ranges from 0.1mm to 0.3mm. The base plate of famous brands is generally between 0.1 and 0.2mm thick. Although thicker reflective aluminum mirror sheets give a better sense of broadness, there’s no such saying as “ the thicker the better”. Reflective aluminum sheets above 0.6mm thick are regarded as qualified enough. Sheets of famous brands are commonly around 0.7mm thick. The simplest way for thickness checking is to shake a sheet. Thin sheets sways easily. Some sheets maybe thick enough, but the film thickness takes up a large share. The thickness of the film can be checked by observing the cutting of the aluminum mirror sheet, but it’s recommended to measure with a ruler if you want a precise thickness.
