Aluminum Circle Blanks

Aluminum circle blanks actually refers to aluminum rolls or sheets applied as raw materials for aluminium discs. Rolls have to be flattened first before being fed into an aluminum circle cutting machine, while sheets will be spared from such a procedure. In spite of this, rolls prove to be more economical, because they can be used as efficiently as possible. The alloys for aluminum circle blanks generally include 1050, 1060, 1070, 1100 and 3003. Considering the end products of aluminum circles, raw materials should have medium strength and relative corrosion resistance. Given the fact that the metal of aluminium is endowed with a natural anti-rust property, the softest 1xxx series are suitable for cookware materials. Aluminum pots get a stone-like layer on the surface after a period of usage. The layer is usually called “rust” which actually serves as a protector of the inner part of aluminum elements. 3003 is regarded as a corrosion resistant alloy, boasting stronger corrosion resistance than 1xxx alloys because it contains a slight content of magnesium.
