Advantages of aluminum circle plate used for deep drawing

The aluminum circle plate is used for deep drawing as a raw material for cookware, lamp covers, battery shells and so on. It has some advantages while being used for deep drawing, including good tensile strength, low density and excellent corrosion resistance.

Aluminum circle plate pieces have a good tensile strength, especially 1000 series of circle plates at O state. O state is the softest state, at which the elongation of an aluminum piece reaches its peak. Pieces of H states are much harder, and their elongation is lower. Metals of low elongation might break or cracks during deep drawing, thus good tensile strength is a basic advantage of aluminum circle discs. Low density is a second advantage of the aluminum circle plate in deep drawing. In comparison to iron and copper, aluminum has the lowest density, only less than one third of copper. Low density of aluminum makes it possible to make more products with aluminum than with the same volume of copper and steel. For example, a piece of aluminum circle discs for cookware may weigh 100g, while a piece of steel circle of the same thickness and diameter weight almost 300g. Excellent corrosion resistance is a natural advantage of all aluminum products over other metals. As an extremely active element, aluminium reacts to oxygen in the air quickly and oxide aluminium comes into being on the surface. This oxide, in contrast, is very inactive, acting as a a protective layer against most corrosive materials.
In a word, the aluminum circle plate is a perfect material for deep drawing. These advantages greatly extend its application scope in various industries.
