Aluminium sheet grades

 　Aluminium sheet grades are also known as aluminum sheet alloy, falling on 8 series and hundreds of alloy numbers.

　　The 8 series are respectively are 1000, 2000, 3000, 4000, 5000, 6000, 7000 and 8000. The 1 series includes 1050, 1060, 1070 and 1100, which is the series with the most aluminum content among all series. Also called pure aluminum plate, it is widely used but has low hardness. The 2 series aluminum plates mainly have alloy grades such as 2A06, 2A10, 2A12, 2A16, 2014, 2017, 2024, 2124, 2224, and 2524. It is characterized by high hardness, among which the copper content is the highest, about 3-5%. Mainly used in aerospace and other fields.

　　The 3 series aluminium sheet grades include 3003, 3004, 3105, 3A21, 3104, and 3005, which are made of manganese as the main component, and the content is between 1.0-1.5%. It is a series with better anti-rust function, the price is higher than 1000 series, it is a more commonly used alloy series. Series 4 aluminum plates include 4032, 4043, etc., with high silicon content, between 4.5-6.0%, and are used in construction materials.

　　5 series aluminum plate includes 5052, 5083, 5754, 5A03, 5454, 5182, 5A06, 5005, 5A02, 5252, 5086, 5A05, 5059. The main element is magnesium and the magnesium content is between 3-5%. The main features are low density, high tensile strength and high elongation. In the same area, the weight of aluminum-magnesium alloy is lower than other series, so it is commonly used in aviation and conventional industries. Series 6 aluminum plates include 6061, 6063, 6082, 6005, 6060, 6005A, and 6101, which mainly contain magnesium and silicon, and are suitable for applications with high requirements for corrosion resistance and oxidation.

　　The 7 series aluminum sheet grades include 7075, 7005, 7050, 7A04, 7A09, which mainly contain zinc. They also belong to the aviation series. They are heat-treatable alloys. They are super hard aluminum alloys and have good wear resistance. Used for high strength and corrosion resistance. High-performance high-stress structural parts and mold manufacturing. Among the 8 series aluminum plates, the more commonly used is 8011, mostly in the form of thin plates and thin rolls, used for food packaging and bottle cap materials.
