Aluminum mirror sheet VS brushed aluminum sheet

 Aluminum mirror sheet and brushed aluminum sheet differs from each other in surface treatment methods yet overlaps in application, color and alloys.

Aluminum mirror sheet is divided into two types: mirror polished aluminium sheet and anodized mirror finish aluminium sheet. The former is obtained by polishing of an aluminum sheet’s surface yet the latter by anodizing. Brushed aluminium sheet is made by the process of brushing, during which under the action of external force, the aluminum plate is forced through the mold, the cross-sectional area of the metal is compressed, and the required cross-sectional area shape and size are obtained. The tool that changes the shape and size of the aluminum plate is called a wire drawing die.

Aluminum mirror sheet and brushed aluminum sheet

Both kinds of aluminium sheets fall on decorative aluminium sheet group. Therefore, they are similar in applications. Aluminium mirror sheets are applied in lighting reflectors and lamp decoration, solar heat collecting and reflective materials, interior architectural decoration, exterior wall decoration, household appliances panels, electronic product shells, furniture kitchens, interior and exterior decoration of automobiles, signs, logos, luggage, jewelry boxes, etc. Brushed aluminum sheets are used in brushed aluminum composite panels, fireproof panels, aluminum photo frames, boutique cabinets, boutique doors and windows, veneer panels, signs, lighting, interior and exterior decoration, household appliances, luggage, gifts, furniture, consumer electronics and other fields.

Colors for the two kinds of sheets overlap, too, including blue, gold, green, purple, red, silver, black etc. Alloys for aluminum mirror sheets are 1060, 1070, 3003, 5052 and 5083, while brushed aluminium sheet suppliers adopt 1060, 2A16, 3003, 4A01, 5052, 6061 and 7075 as the base plates. The biggest thickness of mirrored alu sheets is 8.0mm, yet that of brushed sheets 12mm. Width can be customized. In addition to sheet type, mirror aluminium can be made into coil type, too.
